God created them male and female
Genesis 5:2
2 He created them male and female,
and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.
In this message, I will attempt to
interpret the gender confusion issue in our land from a biblical world view and
try to make sense of what I perceive to be a great evil in our day. I will
address the root cause of this evil and offer Almighty God’s solution for the
family, the church, and society.
As
a prelude; 30 some years ago when I was a boy; there was no confusion; at least
in my mind and in the minds of my classmates as to what it meant to be a boy or
a girl. I observed and remember that boys typically wore their hair short and
enjoyed building or rough play with other boys whereas girls typically wore
their hair longer and played more domestically and verbally with other girls.
Furthermore; school teachers addressed boys and girls separately at times and
we accepted as normal the label of being called a boy or a girl. We also had
separate bathroom stalls for boys and girls that were separately marked to keep
boys and girls separate. Boys listened to “man to man” talks about keeping the urinals
clean and girls had a big surprise upon entering puberty.
Today’s world is very different.
Little boys and girls are confused about gender. They are not sure if they are
boys or girls or whether or not they’d rather be one over the other. Authority
figures like teachers and political leaders are instructed by our government to
affirm children’s gender expression; regardless of their assigned sex based on
their reproductive organ. Some confused kids reach out to their parents for
help but are guided towards a sex change instead. Scientific advances in
testosterone and estrogen hormone therapy and physical surgery even make gender
transformation for little children a modern reality. In fact, new language has
been invented to justify such dramatic, irreversible, biological
transformation. Gender identity for
example is “who you know yourself to be”. While gender has generally been
used to mean male or female, we now understand that gender exists on a
spectrum. A person’s gender identity may be man, woman, boy, girl, non-binary,
etc.
The root of this evil:
From a Biblical worldview; since God
is not the author of confusion (1
Corinthians 14:33) the confusion about gender identity is a direct assault
on the God of the Bible and His created order by none other than Satan himself.
When Satan was cast out of his position of influence in Heaven; (Isaiah 14:12) Satan declared war on
humanity by doing everything in his power to deceive and corrupt the human race.
(Genesis 3:13, 15) God created human
beings to rule and reign over the earth which of course involved natural
reproduction of males and females; thus God
created them male and female. (Genesis 1:27-28)
Naturally; Satan is aggressively
attacking the basic building block of society which is the family. Satan aims
to gradually erode our society by deceiving and corrupting the youngest and
most vulnerable members of our society. (Children) According to Wikipedia; Transgender rights in Canada,
including procedures for changing registered gender and protections from
discrimination, vary among provinces and territories. The federal
protections from discrimination include sexual orientation since 1996 and
gender identity and expression since 2017. As of May 2020, there is no Canadian federal
ban on conversion therapy. Satan’s endgame in this ominous plan is to so
corrupt our society that traditional heterosexual unions (Biblical marriage)
will be scorned and abandoned for a completely sexually immoral culture.
I now speak to the parents or legal guardian
of such confused little children
Take heart; parent or guardian. God
the Father loves your little child regardless of their confusion about gender.
(Mathew 19:14) Your little child is
innocent and does not understand sin and repentance towards Jesus yet. The Heavenly Father has made you the steward
of your little boy or girl and charges you to teach your little ones the truth.
(Deuteronomy 6:7) Explain to your
child that God made them perfectly the way He made them and that living as
their assigned gender is God’s perfect plan for their life. (Ecclesiastes 6:9) If your child is
defiant; remember that God has placed you as an authority figure in their lives
for their care and protection. (Ephesians
6:1)
I now speak to the little children amongst our
society:
God is your Heavenly Father and has a
plan for your life which involves your assigned gender. God already knows that
most little boys want to become daddies and most little girls want to become
mommies. Your Heavenly Father also knows if some of you will want to live alone
so you can love Him even more. Changing your assigned gender (changing from boy
to girl or girl to boy) is never a part of your Heavenly Father’s plan because
He made you perfectly the way you are.
Psalm 139 tells you, little child, how proud
your Heavenly Father is of who you are
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my
body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter
seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
17 How precious are your thoughts about me,[b] O
God.
They cannot be numbered!
18 I can’t even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up,
you are still with me
I now speak to rare people who are born with
both physical genders
Friend; I have appeal to you as one
who doesn’t quite understand what you must be going through but wishes to
affirm the legitimacy of your personal decision. In matters such as these where
a person cannot clearly distinguish their assigned sex from a physical and
biological basis; then I believe liberty and freedom of conscience should be
the correct decision for rare individuals such as these. (Galatians 5:1, Romans 2:15)
The call of the watchman Ezekiel 33:1-6
33 Again the word of the Lord came to
me, saying, 2 “Son
of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: ‘When
I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their
territory and make him their watchman, 3 when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he
blows the trumpet and warns the people, 4 then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and
does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his
blood shall be on his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the
trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who
takes warning will [a]save
his life. 6 But
if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the
people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person
from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will
require at the watchman’s hand.’
I now address the church and specifically
church leaders
He created them male and female. (Genesis 5:2) Brethren in Christ; we
must agree with God on matters of gender and sexuality and not allow Satan’s
clever deception to render us darkened lamps or tasteless salt. (Mathew 5:13) Pastors, preachers,
teachers, and ministers of all Christian denominations ought to be held to the
standard of scripture on their views of gender and sexuality. (1 Corinthians 6:13, Romans 3:4) I
shudder at the thought of the church of Jesus Christ to so compromise its
historical biblical convictions as to call evil good and good evil. (Isaiah 5:20)
If our society ignores this warning (Galatians
6:7, Romans 1:18-31)
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked;
for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who [d]suppress
the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what
may be known of God is [e]manifest [f]in
them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For
since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are
clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His
eternal power and [g]Godhead,
so that they are without excuse, 21 because,
although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor
were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish
hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they
became fools, 23 and changed the glory of
the incorruptible God into an image made like [h]corruptible
man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.24 Therefore
God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to
dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who
exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the
creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.26 For
this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their [i]women exchanged the natural use for what is
against nature. 27 Likewise also the [j]men,
leaving the natural use of the [k]woman,
burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful,
and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.28 And
even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not
fitting; 29 being filled with all
unrighteousness, [l]sexual
immorality, wickedness, [m]covetousness, [n]maliciousness;
full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters,
haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient
to parents, 31 [o]undiscerning,
untrustworthy, unloving, [p]unforgiving,
unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous
judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of
death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
I now speak to the non-Christian who are
convicted of their sin and desire to be saved from the wrath to come
What should you do if you have
followed Satan’s deception? Turn from your sin and place your faith in the Lord
Jesus Christ who died on the cross for your sins and rose from the grave that
you might be born again to new life.
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life.
Closing Prayer:
Thank you Heavenly Father for making
us either male or female and in some rare cases; both genders. Thank you for
offering us your free gift of salvation thought faith in your eternal Son;
Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead. Please
enable us by your Holy Spirit to be the men and women that you created us to
be; In Jesus Name.
